Hong Leong Bank Cambodia Story
Hong Leong Bank (Cambodia) Plc ("HLBCAM" or the "Bank") is a wholly owned subsidiary of Hong Leong Bank Berhad ("HLB") - a public listed company on Bursa Malaysia and a member of the Hong Leong Group, headquartered in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. HLBCAM received its operating license from the National Bank of Cambodia ("NBC") on 28 June 2013 and launched its first banking operations in Phnom Penh on 23 August 2013, allowing it to serve business and consumer customers in Cambodia.
HLBCAM further cements HLB's legacy of meeting the evolving needs of customers by offering a broad range of banking and specialized financial services in Cambodia. The Bank has rolled out six highly relevant banking products - Savings Account, Current Account, Fixed Deposit, Remittances, Basic Treasury facilities, and Priority Banking, along with business and mortgage loans. Living up to the Group's tagline of "Reaching Out to You", the Bank reaches out to its customers in Cambodia through its inaugural head office branch and Priority Banking lounge, strategically located in the heart of the city. In late December and early Jan 2015, HLBCAM obtained approval from NBC to open four more branches in Phnom Penh namely: Toul Kork Branch, Olympic Market Branch, Pet Lok Sang Branch, and Mao Tse Toung Branch.
